Bookings by Customers
Customers can book appointments within the availabilities you have set. To do so, the customer selects the desired time in the calendar with a mouse click. The appointment cursor then appears, which the customer can use to adjust the start time and duration of the appointment. To the right of the appointment cursor, the details of the possible appointment and the Request appointment or Book appointment button appear. Whether an appointment can be booked directly or must first be requested depends on the pre-selected booking option setting. You can find this in the Provider Calendar under the Settings menu item. The default setting is that customers must request appointments, and a binding appointment is only created after confirmation by the provider.
When the customer clicks the Request appointment button, a window with the appointment details opens. The customer can now submit a binding request for the appointment. timum then automatically sends a request confirmation by email to the customer as well as a notification to the provider. As long as the appointment has not been confirmed by the provider, other prospects can submit requests for that time slot. Once the appointment has been confirmed, no further requests can be submitted for that time slot.
If the booking option setting for individual appointments is set to directly bookable, the appointment can no longer be booked by other customers after booking.
Appointments can also be booked by customers without a timum registration. In this case, the customer is required to provide their name, email address, and phone number.
